intro

-----

the common belief is that the flu cannot be killed and since so has been written, it must also be the truth.   so, people continue their lives in the carefree fashion as usual and the virus has the chance to spread freely.   few people react to small, early warnings, telltales about the virus multiplying in the background.   but common cold, the flu, and probably/hopefully all the other flu-like, upper respiratory tract infection can be killed/cured in a simple way and thus avoid the severe symptoms (fever, sore throat, etc.).   for more than 20 years, i've been able to kill the flu infections (= avoid symptoms) every time - it works, as long as there's no giving up.   (at the end of this text, there's an update of flu/coronavirus situation).

since, at the beginning of the sore throat phase, the flu infection can usually still be killed and one can avoid severe symptoms (runny nose, fever, etc., which aren't mechanisms used by the virus, but body's defense system's), the defense system must have somewhat higher than expected threshold, after which it springs into action, it won't be triggered automatically every time and immediately, as is claimed, at least not in my case.

this FluKilling method that i've been using to stop the flu in its tracks is truly reliable, because whenever i've followed this technique, i've always avoided the full-blown flu every time, perhaps over 100 times in the past 20-30 years.   only twice, or maybe thrice, that i remember of, i've had got the flu during this time period.   once, i was too lazy, so i didn't use this method and on another occasion, i didn't have the possibilities to follow it immediately, hence the flu got a foothold.   still, on those times too, while i already had got the flu (=flu symptoms), this technique accelerated the healing process and assisted the overall well-being, so, those occasions only taught how powerful this method is.   for over 20 years the success rate of this FluKilling method has been 100%, a knowledge which gives strength and encourages to continue on following the method, when one can be certain of that the efforts are rewarded, even though the temptation to give up might be very high sometimes.

because people might easily be distracted and start combine things from millions of other alleged flu treatments, i try to explain this method in great detail, which may give an arduous and meticulous impression of this procedure, but it's nothing like that.   on the contrary, this method is very simple and there seems to be a lot of room for manoeuvre.   of course, the more lazily one follows this method the more likely it will flop and especially the fight against the flu will be prolonged, even though one might still be able to stop the flu nonetheless.

each person being different and as the defense system of human body varies from human to human on its ability to react on various issues, means, that each person must also discover their own most appropriate and optimal ways to apply this method.   and above all, it all depends on the person's diligence to follow this method and on the ability to read the signals your body is sending to your brain.   if one is not able to, or won't be bothered to take into account the chills and the sore throat, etc., then it's very difficult to follow this method.

on the other hand, i believe there are always some people who cannot follow, for example, this method, or this method does not work for them, because of a sickness or some other reasons, but just as equally i believe that for the average human being, that is, the vast majority of the world's population, this method could work, because it's so unbelievably simple.

flu begins

-----------

in northern europe the cold winter season is long, so, if  you get the flu, its symptoms are clear, like sore throat and when you inhale cold air, it hurts your throat.   maybe in countries where the weather is warm all day and night, you might not sense your throat to be sore at all, because of the warmth.   then identifying the flu can be tricky and you may have to rely on other symptoms and feelings.   however, for me and, i assume, for a large proportion of people, the first signs of the flu are the chills, which feels like cold coming from deep below your skin, something more than just momentarily felt cold air on your skin.   a day or two after that, you feel something vague in your throat and little by little, your throat gets sorer and then the flu advances at full speed.   presumably this sore throat phase is the most critical point, where the flu culminates, all the nasty repercussions following: runny nose, sinusitis, cough, high fever, etc.   if the sore throat phase really is the most critical point of the flu infection, then it also marks the borderline up to where the flu is prone to destruction, meaning all severe "flu" symptoms are avoidable.

for over 20 years i've avoided flu infections simply by drinking hot water when the sore throat phase has started.   as simple as that - by drinking hot water.   a few moments later, when the effects of hot water has faded away and the throat is about to be getting sore again, i've drunk hot water again until the sore feeling in the throat has disappeared again.   and again after 15-30 minutes and so on, and so on.   while continuing and keeping up this elimination of sore throat feeling so long, so many days, that throat no longer will get sore anymore, you've killed the flu, it does not go further.   the only symptoms you will have to suffer, are the chills and slowly growing sore throat feeling.   you'll avoid all the other flu symptoms, as long as you don't let your throat to be sore.   every hour counts, prolongs the flu-killing time, if the sore throat can worsen in peace.   it's hard to draw a line in there, but maybe after some 12-24 hours, if the throat is allowed to be freely sore, then the flu might be winning, but it's totally a guess, i don't know the exact deadline and it surely varies on each person.   but even then, one should never give up, because as long as there's soreness in your throat, it's possible to improve your feel of well-being and limit the severity of the flu by keep on drinking hot water.

even i, myself, once assumed no-one could have any power over the flu.   it possibly took many years and countless flu-fights before i realized i really could kill the flu by drinking hot water.   in the beginning, i probably assumed the flu infection was never that strong, or that maybe my body's strong immune system had killed it always at the beginning, so the flu never got anywhere.   but at some point, eventually, i had the unavoidable enlightenment to connect these two things together, that it wasn't my immune system being any stronger than the average, but it was always the drinking of hot water, which saved me from getting the flu.

drinking hot water

--------------------

i have no idea why and how drinking hot water kills the flu, maybe it burns and breaks down the virus, or probably hot water (temperatures which doesn't hurt - that is below 70 degrees celsius (=158 degrees F)) heats the mucosae in the throat, transferring heat into the virus, killing it.   since the virus attaches itself to a cell using protein "spikes" and, as commonly known, proteins being highly sensitive to heat (~40 degrees celsius (=104 degrees F)), it's probable that heat damages these protein spikes making the virus harmless.   but, in any case, hot water works. as the target is the throat, there's no point drinking one's belly full of water.   it's encouraged, usually, to drink lot of liquids during the flu, because of dehydration, which makes sense, but in this FluKilling method, the amount of hot water in the stomach, in itself, does not matter.   what's significant, is how long the hot water heats and washes your throat, that's why it's better to drink small amounts at a time (so that heat conduction is most efficient), sips or something like that and lot of such small sips in a quick succession, rather than drinking the same amount of hot water in one big gulp.

when talked about hot water, that means water temperature is such that it doesn't hurt your mouth when you drink it (=temperatures below 70 degrees celsius (158 degrees F), so says internet.   i've never measured temperatures).   in other words, the same way everybody drinks their hot coffee, or tea, or any other hot liquids every day, normally.   what doesn't hurt your lips, tongue or throat while you drink it (= no long lasting feeling of pain), such hotness is appropriate in this FluKilling method also.

neither is it wise to drink hot liquids that hurt your mouth or throat, because i remember once reading about a study, according to which, there's a link between drinking burning hot coffee and throat cancer.   i understood, the temperatures of the coffee in question must have been really high and was ingested on daily basis.   even though FluKilling technique is needed only few times a year, still it's not wise to compromise mucosae in your throat with burning and damaging temperatures, it wouldn't help any better.   hot water, which doesn't hurt the mouth, is hot enough for the use in the FluKilling method.

for flu infection, it's often advised to drink juice, tea or herbs, etc., which are perfectly fine as such, but due to their strong tastes, it won't be long before these tastes becomes repulsive and then you are able to drink lesser of them, or you don't even notice that you've drifted away from the FluKilling method and the flu might get an easy win.   plain hot water might taste strange at first also, but, at least it won't become repulsive, even if enjoyed more often.       whichever works best is okay, as long as the throat soreness is eliminated by drinking hot liquids.

various flu-killing methods

------------------------------

for over 20 years i've successfully killed flu infections by drinking soreness away from my throat, which, naturally, have made me happy, but i could have done it much more effectively. because i've always started to drink hot water only when my throat had been sore and waited until it got sore once more and only then i've drunk hot water again.   in this way, i might have given the chance for the flu virus to strengthen its growth every time and again and that's why it has taken such a long time to kill the virus away, sometimes several days, or over a week, or even few weeks, if there's been lot of steps backwards, that is, conditions have been challenging.   possibly more efficient method might had been to drink hot water at regular intervals, say, every 30 or 60 minutes intervals for few days, regardless of the fact, whether my throat was sore or not.   maybe this kind of systematic method would had killed the flu virus much faster and in a more efficient way.

in recent years, i have used an even more effective method.   i no longer wait for the onset of throat soreness, but as soon as i feel the slightest chills, or otherwise any vague state of uncomfortableness, i start drinking hot water and obviously along with wearing warm clothing. in this method i've usually drunk a cup of hot water in the morning and an another one before going to bed and one or two between those, or even more often, if it has felt like necessary.   in this way, i've killed the flu in a day, but sometimes it could take few days, to make it sure.   the sooner you start the FluKilling method, the better you are able to fight the flu, since fever, fatigue and exhaustion haven't hit you as of yet and they never will.

even more efficient way, than all the above methods, could be if drinking of hot water is started even before the flu-chills start, for example, if people around (at work, or at home) have the flu, that is, the probability of getting the infection is high.

balance

---------

there's something else, almost as important as the above: namely killing the chills.   suffering cold is a step backwards.   for myself, as a layman, the reasons for the chills are unclear.   is it a delusion in your brain, in the battle against the flu virus, or is the sensation unreal, that you're losing body heat more than what you normally would, or does the flu virus infiltrate and with its genetic code get the pores of human body get opened and to lose body heat, so, that the breeding conditions for the virus were ideal.   anyways, you can almost feel how the chills strengthen the hurting in your throat.   if your feet are cold and even if they weren't - woollen socks; if the upper body is cold - the pullover.   wherever part of you has the unpleasant chills, kill them with warm clothing.

for example, commuting in freezing temperatures exposes to cold air and inhaling cold air is a big step backwards, so, you should wear a scarf, or some other clothing in front of your mouth and nose to soften the impact of harsh, frosty air on your throat.   and wear all kind of other warm clothing, when needed, to maintain the balanced, comfortable feeling - neither too hot nor too cold.   so, the pursuit of the most comfortable feeling is the essence of FluKilling method - to win the battle much faster.

sometimes it's just not possible to maintain the balanced feeling, because, for example, while asleep, in an unconscious state of mind, you might toss and turn and unintentionally push aside your blanket and your body gets exposed to cold air.   also inhaling room air unprotected seems to strengthen throat soreness, maybe because the mucosa dries while slept mouth open, or because of many other reasons.   you cannot control yourself and at the same time comply with the FluKilling method flawlessly.   executing FluKilling technique is never going to be absolutely perfect.   because of these occasional setbacks - steps backwards - it doesn't mean that the fight is over yet, the fight is only prolonged.   just maintain your balanced feel-good status as well as possible and you cannot lose.

finally

-------

assuming this FluKilling method works for the common cold as well as for the influenza, the question arises, if this method could also work for the avian flu, the swine flu and for the other dangerous flu mutations, too.   maybe this method could work for all future killer-flu infections also, or maybe not.

when (not if) the next killer-flu pandemic will hit, whether it's next year, or in 100 years, this FluKilling method should probably be started before of any suspicions of having an infection and start it with power, if you want to be sure to get the most of this method.   if the infection proceeds rapidly to the lungs (e.g. in less than 24 hours, as it might have been the case with spanish flu), at that point, this FluKilling method becomes useless.

healing bacteria and virus infections in the lungs could be easy and quick too, if, for example, oxygen mask were used to breath hot air (~50-60 degrees celsius) - bring sauna into the lungs. maybe within a day or two, the infections will be wiped away... or not.

as flu virus can be killed this easily, with relatively low temperatures, the power of fever, for example, doesn't amaze that much any more, or the low temperatures in milk pasteurisation.     in the old movies, when there is a scene of a woman about to give birth at home, doctor asks for a bucket of hot water.   now that doesn't seem so silly either - the usefulness of hot water has been noticed a long time ago.   the food industry uses high temperatures to kill microbes, but why won't the hospitals do so, even though hot water might not kill the msra-bacteria, it might be useful against some other infections, or preventing them beforehand.   like with open wounds, before sewing in the stitches, washing them with hot water, or use targeted infrared radiation, or rinse infected tooth with hot water for few days etc.   it does sound more like a torture, but might be helpful in some cases... or not.

for most people this FluKilling method may seem like a big hassle.   to wear warm sweater and woollen socks, one might find that awkward.   easier to throw themselves at the mercy of the flu.   let the flu take its course rather than go through all the trouble.   still we all have some special events, ceremonies, celebrations, etc., coming up in the near future, something like: vacation, trip abroad, getting married, sport event, etc.   not a good time to get the flu at that point.   therefore, mastering something like FluKilling method could be handy.   even though this method is really so simple, that one would be successful from the first time on, still, controlling it better and killing flu faster should need some practice, to get accustomed to your body's immune system.   when the important moment arrives, then practicing is too late.

it goes without saying that pain killers might blur your senses and so you lose the feel of ache, which is an important guide when using the FluKilling method.

the FluKilling method only works for one's throat.   beyond throat - infection in lungs, or with sinuses infections - the method is useless.

killing the common cold with the FluKilling method is a child's play.   with flu infection one must be more rigorous following the method.   and in case of swine flu and other killer-flu infections, there's no room to be sloppy at all, but maybe more intensive actions are needed than what is written above.

pros

-----

+ avoid all flu symptoms

+ no sick days --> no loss of money

+ can live normal life, while following this method

+ practically doesn't cost a thing

+ no flu infections --> less stress for the body --> longer life

+ the FluKilling method diminishes, if not prevent altogether infecting others

+ societies could save billions

+ avoid pain and ache

cons

-----

- the FluKilling method to succeed, it might take as long a time as the actual flu, or even longer, depending how active one is (but at least one avoids the flu symptoms)

- probably no development of immunity against the flu virus in question, or it remains low (because flu is avoided = no flu symptoms)

coronavirus pandemic

------------------------

in march 2020, during the coronavirus pandemic, some people in my close circle and myself had the flu (or possibly a coronavirus infection).   my illness started just like any other flu infection of mine would - with a sore throat, which initially took longer and felt tougher to get ride off.   i did avoid fever, severe throat soreness, and other symptoms were mild - presumably because of drinking of hot water.   though, i never have needed to drink so much in just over a week and yet it seemed inadequate.   on the other hand, i probably would have avoided all the symptoms altogether, had i not gone to work as soon as the symptoms had improved and if the store shelves hadn't been hoarded empty.   all in all, strangely bouncing illness - a symptom appears and at the next moment it's gone, to appear again later on.

day 1:

- had felt a little bit vague for several days

- 02:00 a.m. after slept about 3 hours, waking with sore throat

- it took about 3 hours of hot water sipping, every 15-20 minutes, to feel almost normal

- 3-4 hours of sleep

- drinking hot water all the morning, every now and then

- at evening feeling normalish

day 2:

- drinking hot diligently

- the feeling of pain in the throat does not quite disappear with hot drinks, as it does with the flu infections usually

- maybe 3-5 liters of hot drinks on one day

day 3:

- feeling normalish

day 4:

- going to work, cold wind, freezing cold

- in the evening, runny nose for 6-10 hours (usually runny nose is a sign of the end of the flu)

- overall feeling not so good

- strange taste in the tongue

day 5:

- at night, the throat feels sore again and tries to get worse, drinking hot water does not seem to take the pain completely away like it does with the flu - always

- at 05:00 a.m. amazingly improved feeling

- at 08:00 a.m. great, strong, healthy feeling.      the trachea - mucus comes off when coughing, it amazed me, because i haven't felt any problems deeper than my throat

- feeling heavier in the evening, occasionally runny nose, but almost not at all.     maybe little sensitivity in the lungs when take a deep breath

- occasionally dry cough, not compulsive

- at home all day

day 6:

- feeling normalish

- occasionally dry cough, not compulsive

- at home all day

day 7:

- going to work

- nosebleeds - have been drinking a lot of hot water every day for a week now and kept eating light, so my blood got thinned - thin blood not effective

day 8:

- woke up at 08:00 a.m., voice almost disappeared, speech and steady sound formation difficult, indistinct.   again, the trachea - mucus comes off.   the loss of voice surprised me, because, as far as i remember, it had never happened before, not even in my childhood

- in the evening, amazingly - voice almost normal, just a little low-pitched

- occasionally dry cough, not compulsive

- at home all day

- because sleeping and eating had been poor for a week, i felt very tired.   illness feels like lasting indefinitely.   my focus has been so much on drinking of hot water, but now i decided to stop it and throw myself at the mercy of the virus.   that way, at least, would get immunity for the virus.   i suspect it's the coronavirus.   fighting the flu has always been so effortless before, easier than this

day 9-11:

- but my condition does not turn for the worst, the vague ill overall feeling disappears and normal state of mind returns

disclaimer

-----------

all the above assumptions and claims are strongly adopted from the media and/or are my own perceptions and are not to be taken as absolute truths, but take them with caution.   only the FluKilling method I personally know to function the correct and effective way for me, of that much i'm certain.
